Preparation Team of Pediatrics Special Committee was establish to prepare the establishment of Pediatrics Special Committee of WFCMS. The Preparation Team consists of seven members namely: Prof. LiuBiChen as the chairman, Prof. ZhangQiWen, Prof. WangShouChuan, Prof. DingYing as the vice chairman, Prof. XuRongQian as the secretary (liaison), Prof. MaRong, Prof. ZhuJinShan.

The Preparation Team is planning to organize a Preparation Committee meeting in April 2008, followed by a congress for the establishment of “Specialty Committee of Pediatrics of WFCMS”.

The mission of WFCMS Specialty Committee of Pediatrics is in the line with WFCMS’ missions. Under the umbrella of WFCMS, became the bridge to affiliate and unite TCM pediatrics doctors all around the world. Our main objective is to provide an organized and standardized platform for research, learning exchange, technology transfer, training, seminar and symposium, sharing information, etc. At the same time, we host the clinical training courses to enhance TCM pediatricians’ skills.

An infant is the future of the world, a blessing for parents, and a new generation of human being. Therefore, to protect the health and to ensure healthy grow of infants should be the goal of pediatricians.

TCM pediatrics has a long history and for over thousand years, it gives tremendous contribution to the infants health sector. Along with the globalization of TCM, TCM pediatrics would also like to contribute to world, particularly for the health and growth of infants. Pediatrics Special Committee of WFCMS is a worldwide organization that would like to provide an umbrella for TCM pediatricians around the world to meet, interact and grow as a big family. We understand that outside the People Republic of China , TCM pediatricians are very rare and most of them are general practitioners. Therefore, we really hope that everyone will join the Pediatrics Special Committee of WFCMS as a big family, for the globalization of TCM pediatrics; and for the health and grow of infants on the earth.

Based on the article of “Administrative Qualification Provisions for Members”, every country or area may recommend 1-3 pediatricians to join Preparation Committee of Pediatrics Special Committee.
