The 2nd China-Europe Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine & 2026 “TCM Going Global” Entrepreneurs' Forum & Forum on the Integrated Development of Industry, Education, Research, Medical Practice and Application (Brussels) First Round Announcement
As a treasure of Chinese civilization, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a vital resource for promoting human health and well-being. To deepen academic exchanges, industrial cooperation, and cultural communication in the TCM field between China and Europe, build a collaborative innovation platform integrating industry, education, research, medical practice and application, and drive the standardized and high-quality development of TCM in Europe and globally, it is hereby decided through multi-party consultation to hold the 2nd China-Europe Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine & 2026 "TCM Going Global" Entrepreneurs' Forum & Forum on the Integrated Development of Industry, Education, Research, Medical Practice and Application in Brussels, Belgium in August 2026. Supported by multiple institutions from China and Europe, this forum aims to pool international wisdom and explore new paths for the overseas development of TCM. The relevant details are announced as follows:

The forum will adopt diverse forms of exchanges, including opening ceremony, keynote speeches, parallel session special reports, entrepreneurs' dialogues, industry-university-research matchmaking, on-site demonstration workshops, and TCM achievements exhibitions. Clinical and Academic Exchanges of TCM between China and Europe: Clinical application and efficacy evaluation of acupuncture and characteristic therapies, TCM preventive treatment of disease and chronic disease management, mutual learning of clinical experience in traditional medicine between China and Europe
2. TCM Industry and Entrepreneurial Cooperation: Collaborative development of the TCM industrial chain between China and Europe, international trade and quality control of authentic medicinal materials, R&D and market expansion of innovative TCM products, opportunities for cross-border investment and financing cooperation
3. Integrated Development of Industry, Education, Research, Medical Practice and Application: Mechanisms for the transformation of TCM scientific research achievements, collaborative talent cultivation models between universities and enterprises, cooperation paths between medical institutions and industries, digital technology empowering innovative development of TCM
4. Standardized Overseas Development of TCM: Current status and policy interpretation of TCM legislation in Europe, alignment of TCM practicing qualifications and industry standards, compliance construction of TCM service trade
5. International Communication and Translation Innovation of TCM: Optimization of intercultural communication paths, strategies for TCM culture going global in the new media era, standardization and multilingual conversion of TCM terminology
V. Important Notes
1. Call for Papers: The forum invites global submissions of academic papers in relevant fields. Selected papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and excellent papers will be recommended for publication in relevant core journals. The deadline for paper submission, format requirements, and submission channels will be detailed in the second round announcement.
2. Forum Registration: Participants are required to complete online registration via the official forum platform. The registration fee standards, preferential policies, and registration channels will be announced in the second round announcement.
3. Visa Assistance: The organizing committee will provide official invitation letters to registered participants to assist with visa procedures (participants shall bear the costs of invitation letter notarization and international postage themselves). It is recommended that participants start visa application preparations 3 months in advance.
4. Post-Forum Exchanges: A China-Europe TCM industry inspection tour is planned after the forum (only for participants holding Chinese passports). The specific itinerary, costs, and registration methods will be announced in subsequent notices. Participants are strictly prohibited from using public funds for tourism; all relevant expenses shall be borne by individuals.
