Vice-president and secretary-general of WFCMS delivered a lecture

Vice-president and secretary-general of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) Li Zhenji delivered a lecture on several issues about promoting the internationalization of Chinese medicine by standardization on August 29, 2006 at the headquarters of WFCMS, in Beijing, China.

    The lecture is divided into six parts:

    1.The basic characteristic of standard and standardization

    2.The category of domestic standard and the main body for rendering standardization

    3.International organizations for standardization and category of international standardization

    4.The promoting effect for the internationalization of Chinese medicine by standardization

    5.The scenario for the international standardization of Chinese medicine    

    6.Current progress made on the international standardization of Chinese medicine

    He said, the standardization of Chinese medicine is the key point of tasks of WFCMS. To promote the standardization of Chinese medicine is beneficial to the development of Chinese medicine across the world, to raising the acceptance of Chinese medicine throughout the world and to improving the China national competitiveness among international communities.
