Second Round Notice of the "WFCMS Global Members Zone" at the 9th China International Import Expo
As a treasure of Chinese civilization, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is at a historic stage of leaping from a traditional cultural treasure to the global life sciences and health industry. The China International Import Expo (CIIE), sponsored by the Chinese government, is the world's first national-level expo themed on import. It has become a premier destination for global cutting-edge technologies and innovative services.
To empower the TCM health industry to fully embrace the global market, and to propel top-tier TCM brands to achieve a strategic leap on China's national platform, the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), as the officially authorized exhibition organizing agency of the CIIE, is now undertaking the preparation and exhibition recruitment for the WFCMS · China Time-Honored Brands "Collaborative Innovation" Zone within the Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Exhibition Area of the 9th CIIE. The second round mobilization notice is hereby released.
I. Organizational Structure
Host: World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS)
Organizer: The Industrial Committee of Health Care of the WFCMS
Co-organizers: Centre France Chine de la Medecine Chinoise, relevant society branches and committees, overseas member organizations, TCM Associations in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Regions, et al.
II. Event Time and Venue
November 5 - November 10, 2026
National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) - Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Exhibition Area
III. Zone Planning and Exhibition Innovation
Relying on the international organizational background of WFCMS, this zone aims to create a "National TCM Team" representing the wisdom of Oriental life sciences. The zone will focus on displaying the achievements of Time-Honored Brands (Laozihao) in combining integrity and innovation, intangible cultural heritage techniques, and modern cutting-edge technologies. It will primarily recruit innovative Chinese patent medicines extracted by modern biotechnology, new medicine and food homologous consumer goods and dietary supplements developed for modern pain points, and advanced chronic disease management programs integrating traditional TCM and modern technology.
To comprehensively enhance the international image of TCM brands, the zone will break the traditional independent exhibition model and innovatively adopt a collaborative curatorial plan of "One Core, Multiple Islands · Overall Unified Construction":
- Unified Image, Intensive Presentation: The zone will construct a unified large-scale visual dome and a grand main structure, highlighting the magnificent atmosphere of TCM as a whole. The fully open design will welcome the expo's visitor flow to the greatest extent.
- Independent Blank Space, Diverse Expression: Based on the unified decoration, each participating unit will be given an exclusive personalized exhibition space, equipped with high-definition digital screens and professional exhibition facilities as standard, to show brand innovation achievements through modern digital imaging.
- Resource Sharing, Synergy and Efficiency: Public functional areas such as the "Collaborative Innovation Launch Pad" and "Exclusive Closed-door Negotiation Rooms" will be coordinately established within the zone for stationed brands to share high-standard speaking venues and business negotiation spaces.
IV. Core Exhibition Rights and Service Empowerment
This zone is committed to providing full-chain service guarantees and policy empowerment for exhibiting enterprises:
- One-stop Unified Construction and Service Empowerment: To effectively reduce the burden on exhibiting enterprises, the organizing committee will provide a full-process "one-stop" unified construction service. It will uniformly resolve cumbersome processes such as booth design, construction bidding, and the CIIE's strict structural and fire safety audits. Participating units only need to focus on core product display and business docking, achieving an efficient "move-in ready" exhibition experience. Thanks to the island-style planning of the zone, small and medium-sized booths can also share the overall visual breadth and public traffic of the zone.
- Official Government-Enterprise Dialogue: Assist participating units in applying to participate in Official Government-Enterprise Dialogues and policy briefing sessions involving relevant national ministries and commissions, establishing official communication channels.
- Brand Value Detonation: Recommend outstanding innovative products to enter the official CIIE "New Product Launch Platform", strive for coverage by national-level mainstream media, and enhance the international credibility of the brand.
- National-level Policy Dividends: Assist in applying for a series of national-level support policies such as customs clearance facilitation for exhibits and tax incentives for retained purchases after the exhibition (subject to the latest official release).
- Precise Trade Matching: Relying on the CIIE's massive resources of high-intentional professional buyers, assist in participating in official supply-demand matching sessions.
V. Exhibition Requirements and Qualification Review
(I) "Time-Honored Brands" Exhibition and Exhibit Compliance Path Guidelines:
Given that the CIIE is a national-level import-themed expo, exhibiting entities and physical exhibits must strictly conform to the "overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions)" attribute. - Exhibit Origin Compliance: The place of origin or R&D and manufacturing of the physical products, technologies, or services exhibited must be outside the customs territory of China. This includes but is not limited to: R&D center achievements established by Time-Honored Brands overseas or in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, products manufactured relying on overseas production bases (OEM/ODM), and new health consumer goods jointly developed with overseas institutions (such as dietary supplements and medicine-food homologous products introduced through cross-border e-commerce models).
- Qualification Proof: The domestic parent enterprise must submit a copy (or photocopy) of the valid "Time-Honored Brand" recognition certificate issued by the Ministry of Commerce of China or provincial/municipal commerce departments, and provide proof of legal association or authorization agreement with the overseas exhibiting entity and the origin of the exhibits.
(II) General Access and Commodity Inspection Requirements:
- Compliance and Commodity Inspection: Exhibits must strictly comply with Chinese laws and regulations regarding the classification of medical devices, health foods, etc. For exhibits belonging to restricted categories or requiring prior approval, enterprises must possess valid marketing certificates from the country of origin, and cooperate in handling China Customs declarations, commodity inspections (CIQ), and necessary temporary access filings.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Participating units must hold complete trademark rights, patent right certificates, or legal authorization for the exhibited products/services, and sign the Intellectual Property Protection Commitment Letter. The zone strictly prohibits the entry of any exhibits involving copyright disputes, counterfeiting, or infringement.
